Your name/Screename: Skyfire
Character's full name: Buzz Lightyear
Title (if available): Captain, Space Ranger
Species: human
Gender: male
Age: 40
Height: 5’10”
Physical description: Buzz is Caucasian, with a well-built, athletic body. He has blue eyes, and he never takes off his purple thermal hood so his hair color is unknown. However, it can be inferred from his evil double’s appearance that Buzz’s hair is navy blue.
Weapon of choice: wrist-laser
Starting Inventory: spacesuit, blaster
Starting Abilities: sixth sense, 1337 fighting skillz
Fighting style: offensive
Likes: Star Command, justice, his rookies in Team Lightyear, his former partner Warp Darkmatter (sort of)
Dislikes: Evil Emperor Zurg, villains/criminals, injustice
Personality: On the surface, Buzz is seemingly arrogant and often dense and insensitive – perhaps partly the result of being Star Command’s poster child for twenty years. However, he has shown some sensitivity and can be very protective of his team, especially of his copilot Mira Nova. Perhaps one of his biggest flaws is his willingness to lie and/or bend the rules if he thinks that everything will come out right in the end – that, and recklessness with a sometimes frightening lack of common sense. But he is courageous and dedicated, has a solid sense of justice and an unflagging faith in the fact that Good really does win out in the end – and he never gives up.
History: Buzz was apparently raised by his grandmother, and joined Star Command Academy when he was older. There, he met Warp Darkmatter (unbeknownst to him, a spy for Zurg), and the two became partners and apparently close friends as Space Rangers. Buzz rose through the ranks to become Captain, and is now known as the Galaxy’s Greatest Hero. When Warp left Star Command for Zurg, circumstances formed a team for Buzz out of the robot XR, the janitor Booster Munchapper, and the Princess-Ranger Mira Nova. Team Lightyear is now the most famous, most successful group of heroes and crime-fighters in the galaxy.
Degree of Existence: No knowledge of Quendra
Character type: Canon
Status: Main
Example roleplay post: Hidden in the shadows, Buzz watched Warp Darkmatter search the huge room for the plasma cannon prototype. A surge of conflicting emotions rushed through the Space Ranger. He and Warp had spent twenty years together as partners in Star Command, then Warp ditched all that for Zurg’s evil empire.
Betrayal and hurt – even anger – was foremost in Captain Lightyear’s heart. But hope was there, too.
Hope that Warp would come back.
It had started when they had been captured by the Chlorm scientists – Buzz had seen just a little bit of relenting on Warp’s part. And what had begun then was confirmed by their struggles against the space mummy Natron: Warp was slowly changing. Slowly becoming good again.
But here they both were – Buzz’s presence unbeknownst to Warp – and Warp was being the bad guy again. Buzz wished that he didn’t have to do this, but he had a job to do. As he flicked the lights on and stepped out from his hiding place – wrist-laser held ready – he ordered, “Hold it right there, Warp!”
